Technical Visits

All technical visits are scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, July 10th. Please note that places for each visit are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive a personal link to register, and the deadline to do so is June 30th.
The meeting point for all tours is in front of the main entrance to the conference venue. Departure is at 13:15 sharp.
All visits last approximatively 3 hours in total.
Please note: The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel any visit if there is insufficient interest. If a visit is canceled, you will be invited to select an alternative option.

The A350 Assembly Line - Airbus

The Airbus A350 is an ultra-modern airliner, designed to offer superior comfort and exceptional fuel efficiency. In recent decades, it has become a preferred choice for airlines operating long-haul flights. We invite you to visit the final assembly line where the various sections of the A350 are joined, prepared for testing and finally delivery. The program includes:

  • Bus tour of the 700 hectares of Airbus infrastructure in Toulouse
  • A stop at the A350 assembly line observation deck
  • Detailed presentation of the production process.

The History of Aviation at Toulouse - L’Envol des Pionniers

Autonomous Driving Technologies - EasyMile

Based in Toulouse, EasyMile develops autonomous driving technologies for vehicles operating in demanding environments such as airports, industrial sites, and logistics hubs. Today, the company boasts more than 30 commercial deployments across 10 countries spanning 4 continents, most of which involve multi-vehicle or multi-site fleets. Its references include Munich Airport, Lufthansa Cargo, and Dnata at Dubai’s AI Maktoum International Airport. EasyMile also provides its solutions to industrial leaders such as BMW Group, Daimler Truck. Its Francazal site is used to test, validate, and demonstrate the performance of its autonomous vehicles under real operating conditions.

Optimization of Parking space by Robots - Stradot

STRADOT is a robotics company based in Toulouse, France, specializing in autonomous robots that lift and transport vehicles to optimize storage in high-density environments. By eliminating traditional driving lanes, these systems significantly increase capacity without requiring heavy infrastructure modifications. This approach champions environmental and operational efficiency: transforming automotive logistics by reducing the land footprint (working towards "zero net artificialization"), aDutomating labor-intensive tasks, improving overall operational efficiency, and optimizing the carbon footprint.

Téléo Urban Cable Car - Tisséo

Spanning 3 kilometers and featuring three stations, Téléo is one of the longest urban cable cars in Europe. The tour will cover the history of the project, the challenges of integrating this mode of transportation into the city (urban planning, overflight, noise, visual impact), adapting to public transit requirements (service quality, safety, evacuation), and operations/maintenance. We will visit the stations and take a guided round-trip ride in a cabin.

Toulouse’s Third Metro Line - Tisséo

Toulouse’s third metro line, Line C, is a major construction project spanning 27 km with 21 stations, four transit hubs equipped with park-and-ride facilities, and five interconnections with the rail network ; it is France’s largest public transportation investment after the Grand Paris project. The visit will begin with a presentation of the project and its challenges (technical, environmental, and societal, as well as construction constraints in the city center), followed by a tour of the construction site for Station F Verdier on Line C and its connection to the existing Station B. The operation of an automated line will also be discussed at that time.

The Archives of Canal du Midi - VNF

Voies Navigables de France (VNF), the managing authority of the Canal du Midi, is responsible for preserving the archives of the waterway network often referred to as the « Canal des deux Mers » (Canal of the Two Seas). The Southwest territorial division of VNF is the only one among the institution’s seven territorial divisions to hold the documents produced throughout the long history of this waterway. Today, this collection spans more than 2 linear kilometers of files, maps, blueprints, registers, and photographs. Stepping into the Canal du Midi archives building, constructed in 1830, is a journey back through the history of this infrastructure, which was originally designed for the transport of goods and passengers. The archives of the Canal du Midi represent one of the most picturesque features of the Canal du Midi UNESCO site, which was inscribed on the World Heritage List on December, 1996.
